Diving options for mid August?

I am planning a dive vacation in mid-August but staring at a blank slate of ideas. What destinations in S.E Asia offer good diving conditions at this time or close to peak season? Weather-wise lack of squalls, typhoons, thunderstorms ?

Thinking either Malaysia or Indonesia. Done Sipadan, Komodo, Bali, Don't want to repeat this year.
Dont want to spend on traveling all the way to Layang-Layang if its past hammerhead season ... so ..

Layang Layang hammerhead mating season is in end of April-May. Even then you need to stay 1 week to 10 days be able to see the big chools. Outside the hammerhead mating season, you can still see sporadically the hammerheads.
