Beautiful footage! What type of camera/lights did you use? I have a lighting set up that outputs 1800 lumens but I don't think I'd get the same results you did in daylight.

Thanks for the kind comment. I'll post a a couple of additional videos soon.

The visitors seemed to be very happy with the diving, and I also recommend it.

Wonderful video. I have been wanting to go to Saba. The diving looks very nice.

I'm glad you liked the shots.

Camera: Sony HVR-Z7U

Lights: Sola 4000's -- The other divers were also appreciating the lights, particularly when I moved past the sponges and schools of fish.

Looks great! I am planning a trip in April. I read the chamber is out of commission? Any word on this? Also, hotels at Windward are about 1200-1300 ft elevation. Wondering how much hiking/eleveation change I can handle with 2 dives a day planned for 5 days. We only have a week. Any info will be helpfull. Thanks

Anything less than about 750m is usually considered as fairly low risk.

You are correct about the chamber, so far as I am aware.

There is still a chamber on St. Martin though, yes?

How were the colors and ambient lighting when you weren't using your camera?

And thanks for posting these videos. Quite lovely peaceful full of sealife. I feel Saba calling my name.

I don't think that St. Martin has a chamber. When I was on Saba last (jan 13) they said that the nearest chamber would be in Puerto Rico (not too helpful). From what i hear they are trying to raise the coin to get the chamber on Saba operational again soon. the island recognizes the reduced tourism that may occur as a result of not having a chamber. It sounds like the funds were "diverted" in the past.

if you are considering Saba...go...it is a gem of an island and I enjoyed the diving quite bit. The pinnacles are pretty cool but i enjoyed the other dives equally as much if not more. Diamond Rock and Man of War Shoals were my favorite two.
