Diving on RCCL

I was on a RCCL trip and booked a dive in St. Thomas with the cruise line.
There were a some other ships in at the same time and the dive op ran out of regs. But I was traveling with my own "minimal diving kit" (regs/mask/camera/dive computer). I was able to do the dives. The other half of our group did not.
Not saying it happens often but it did happen to me.
