I have never made a freshwater dive but I am interested in diving Lake Lanier. Do you guys take newbies along?

Head on down to west bank. I here that is a great place. My son's girlfriend is doing her last check out dive today at west bank. I heading there for the first time myself today to watch the bubbles. Come on down. My son Danny will have a black tank with green mesh on it.

See ya

We are over at Vanpue north on the fare west side. We will be here most of the afternoon if you want to come by. I was mistaken about west bank.

Hey Stilt, how was Dive Haven yesterday? Sorry, I couldn't make it. I had to take care of something that could change drastically in about a month if the wrong person gets in the White House. I'll leave it at that.

Did you take any photos at Dive Haven?

I had a blast!!! I got to try out my new B/C and split fins. My partner (Adam) and I did all 5 challenges and placed somewhere in the middle. They had a pumpkin carving contest, and gave away a lot of prizes. The sun was shining and in all just a great day. I wish we could have had some of the Lanier divers there. I got to meet Dennis with Scuba Board. The one and only (Kraken) now I have a face with the name. I was told they raised over $4,000 for Suds. That is just great. I hope we can all get together some day. My son’s girl friend is now certified so I believe I will be on the water in the next week or so again. Even if it’s just an afternoon dive.

What happened yesterday? Where on the lake are you? I live by Lake Lanier Islands.

Let’s get together and have some fun. :)

I was in Marietta at Divers Supply buying a wetsuit. I hear the lake water is not as warm as Cancun...so a new 7mm suit was in the cards.

I didn't expect to get such a quick response. Anything happening next weekend? I am retiring my old Posiden reg and my new one should be here Friday. As I said before, I have never made a fresh water dive...all of my experience including openwater certification has been in the Pacific or Carribean.

I am on the south end of the lake in the Young Deer channel.

If I can ever get my boat out of the muck,I want to get back diving on Lanier again, that said the Vortoberfest is going on at vortex springs this weekend, always fun.

Have you dove in limited viz waters? Like 5-10 feet max? That's Lake Lanier...love it or leave it! I want to do some more lake diving myself. Maybe Sunday afternoon? (10/19/2008) I may have my new DPV to play with.

I'll probably be up at Lanier at Two Mile Creek on Sunday afternoon the 26th. It's getting to be dry suit weather soon, yeah baby!
I'm going to be down at the our deer hunting property this weekend in Eatonton and next Sat. the 25th I'll be at Stone Mountain for the Wesley Walk for Others and then go to the Cobb Gun Show to get some stuff. So Sunday the 26th looks like my best bet.

I’m going to the cove next weekend 10-25-08. That is where the goodies are. I'm going to bring home the mother load. I plan on spending the night and diving Sat & Sun. Lets raft up and have some fun boys. If the lake gets any lower we will be able to snorkel and get what we want. Anybody want to join us? Look for a 32’ Fly Bridge with the name ( Island Time ) on the back

I have all the parts and pieces for my pontoon so I should be able to get it in the water soon to. All new carpet, interior and top. It's going to look nice.
