Well I heard that divepros get paid in beer and sexx in Cancun. In fact last year we had an article in the local dive rag about divepros working as gigolos in Mexico (I think) to supplement their wages. Any truth to that?

I think I saw that,

but it was Dominican Republic not Mexico...

Where can I work as a gigalo again? Sign me up.

Seriously though, about trying to be an instructor for a living, I have found that if there is something you enjoy doing as a sport or a hobby, don't make it something that you are required to do to maintain food on the table. IF you do, you will have successfully completed making it a job instead of fun. Focus on school, go to college, get a good job, make lots of money and then if you want to, teach a few classes a year part time. I know right now it seems like it would be great to dive every day of the week, but when you get older, your perspective will change. Get an education, and a good paying job, then dive for fun. Making a hobby into a job is the quickest way to destroy your love of it. Time will see you through.
