Hi,
we are from Central Europe and since flying somewhere to dive is a bit uncertain this summer we are looking for a good diving location we can drive to by car. Is the island of Vis a good choice? Or are there other sites in Italy or Croatia you would rather recommend?
We also like the idea that diving in Croatia in total is a lot cheaper than in Italy and Souther Italy is almost a bit too far to drive.
Thanks for your recommendations,
Thomas

The whole of Croatia is really nice for diving. Our last holiday was to Paklenica NP, so I found a great dive center out of a town next to Zadar (Bibinje).

Lots of the interesting sites available are quite deep, so we did 3x 40m dives, a few 30m ones, and a few 20m ones. Crystal clear water, but quite cold, from what I remember (we had 7mm wetsuits, but if I go back any time soon I'll be in my drysuit)
