Morning all!

Im trying to plan a possible winter trip from UK to Fiji this winter and want to do some diving there. I have just passed my PADI Advanced Open course. I'm looking for places to dive and companies to dive with. Not bothered about big deep dives but more relaxed shallower dives to gain experience and see more smaller things to photograph. Happy with liveaboard but would prefer landbased. Any advice on friendly and professional companies would be appreciated.
Thanks, Simon

Have a look in the Pacific Islands sub forum (under Regional, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands) and there is quite a bit there on Fiji. You may want to repost your question there or a moderator can move it. We did land based there around Taveuni (Matangi) and there was usually current and surge. The Somosomo straits definitely had current and surge. Many sites were walls (very good) and a few with not alot of current. This is not to say that shallower sites with less current and surge do not exist in the area. We did dive some shallower sites off Matangi and Qamea that had good coral and fish life with little surge but they were more "generic" sites and when I asked the site name, it seemed to be made up on the spot. We dove with the resort dive op.

Thanks ColoDale, have reposted them them.
