I'll be in Paphos or a few days in late April next year. My wife and I would like to do a small amount of diving nearby, if possible.

1) Are there any dive sites with historical or archaeological Interest? We have dived all over the world, but not the eastern Mediterranean.

2) What water temperatures can we expect?

Thanks!

There are a number of good wrecks. I haven't gone diving in Cyprus yet, but I was in the eastern Aegean in late September. Temperatures at the surface were mid 70's. At 100' or so, they dropped to low to mid 60's. I'd expect Cyprus to be warmer, but not by much.

I cannot recommend any particular shops (as I have not dived there), but I'd initiate contact through FB: Search. Hopefully others with experience diving there will chime in.

Been there some 6 or 7 years ago, in April. You might expect strong winds, and they might bring rain. That' what I had back then : only 4 dives (2 days of diving on a 8 days trip). As April is the beginning of the season, a lot of diving facilities weren't opened yet, I didn't have much choice, and prices where rather too expensive in regard of the service provided.

Anyway, I did love Cyprus, and would go back there.

I will be visiting Cyprus for work at the end of August this summer and am wondering about shop recommendations in the Limassol area. TIA!
