Thanks for all the input on prior posts! Trying to find amazing coral (so sad seeing so much deterioration on Carribean reefs). It sounds like more fun land-based activities in Bohol so we are trying to figure out if the reef diving is as good in Anda as PG? Has anyone been to both recently? Interested in both beautiful coral and variety of creatures. Never tried muck diving but thinking we'd prefer reef. Thanks so much!

Hello
I'm looking for the same information about Anda. I would like to know if Anda had some healthy reefs with color ( soft corals, seafans, sponges and colorful schooling fishes ) that makes nice subjects for wide angle photography.

Any input here by a photographer that have done w.a. photos there recently ( post thypoon), it will be greatly appreciated. i'm trying to decide to include Anda or not in my next trip to Philippines.

I went to Anda and Puerto Galera in January. The coral was better in Anda, but the diving was more interesting and varied overall in Puerto Galera. Creatures were better in PG too. I loved both spots. The typhoon damage in Anda is limited to a small number of sites. Also Magic Ocean in Anda is such an incredible place, can't recommend it highly enough.

Thank you Chaad !

Since i dive exclusively to do photography, I'm considering Anda mostly for wide angle since i will go to places much better for macro ( for what i want to photograph, i.e. Anilao, PG and Romblon) during my next Philippines trip. I was considering Magic Oceans as the place to stay besides the diving because i liked the chances to do some wildlife/birding photography around there . The vegetation around their premises looks promising for that. Also i love how quiet it seems around Anda, compared with Panglao which i visited in 2011

Did you saw colorful places on the wall in Anda ( like soft corals , sponges, seafans , anthias , etc ) ?

Regards
