I lived on Guam for 3 years (10 years ago) and Guam will be a little of let down after Palau, but it is still warm tropical diving!

I was just on Guam last month and did some diving with GTDS. BEWARE!! If you aren't interested in cattle boats. GTDS it turns out does not own their own boat (MDA did 10 years ago). I was on a boat with at least 35 people and the boat was NOT intended to hold that many! The boat owner said a tour group got the wrong day and he "couldn't turn them away". I'm not even sure GTDS was aware of how the boat operator did business, but I'd stick with MDA after that.

Also, if you are staying on one of the hotels, especially on "Hotel Row", don't make your reservation through the hotel. There are two prices for dives, and the local one is much cheaper (you have to bring you own lunch, and pick up you own tanks, but its worth it). Go to the dive shop yourself and sign up. They are both easy to find. They are both off the main drag (Marine Drive) and going south, are both on the left hand side of the road. You will come to GTDS first and then MDA. If you come to the Naval Station, you have missed them.
