So i am studying abroad In Suva on the main island of Viti Levu currently and i was wondering if anyone knew of the "best" dive spots on the main island. Already done the shark dive in Beqa as well as some of their soft coral dives. I have already been to Kadavu, where the diving was mind blowing, and i plan on making it up to Taveuni for an extended weekend as well but i was wondering if anyone had any insight on Diving on the island of Viti Levu. any suggestions are more than appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

If you're in Suva, then I'd seriously consider heading 1.5 hours up the east coast to the north to Natovi Landing and then out offshore to Naigani Island Resort. This place has some of the best diving in Fiji and noone seems to go there! Well at least, very very few divers. They have some superb dive sites 5 minutes offshore (in the Lomaiviti Islands) or they will motor further off to Wakaya Wall (mind-blowing visibility - 50 metres plus!) or the Lighthouse Bommie off Ovalau. The resort is a little tired and I haven't been there for a few years, but the fish life on the coral pinnacles that dot the area is superb. Not many huge fish, but masses (storms...blizzards....cascades) of Butterfly; Angelfish; Fusiliers and Basslets like I've not see anywhere else. The tops of the Naigani bommies and the soft corals make for the most colourful diving I've ever seen...and I've been around a bit. Like one of my buddies said..."Its like diving in an Aquarium".. Another experienced diver said "Its like diving in the Red Sea".
