Diving Center / Dive Club

Hi all

I am a little confused between the Diving center and Dive Club. Can anyone tell me the differance between them.

The difference should be that a Dive Club represents a group of people with no profit out of diving (only fun and glory), and Dive Center is a commercially run operations with profit in mind... (usually has an owner )

Thanks for the information, This information is not that clear hear in Egypt. I think that people here don't know that differance. I think that they believe that both (club and center) has the same meanning.

That is the formal definition but the truth is most of the clubs here are in some way very closely associated with a dive shop (center). Where the dive shop ends and where the club begins is hard to define. The up side is the club gets support from the shop, or at least the 2 clubs I am a member of do.
