I will be heading to the Caribbean in a few weeks on a cruise ship (specifically the Grand Princess) and I have booked their scuba excursion in Belize. I was wondering if anyone has done a cruise ship scuba excursion in Belize before, and if they could give me any insight into what it is like.
I have never been any place tropical before, nor have I been on a cruise ship dive excursion. I would think that with close to 3000 people on the ship, there is going to be a large number of divers on this excursion. Do they limit the number of people typically, or do we all just go out on a real big dive boat, full of divers? Also, how do the dives typically go? Do they make you follow a dive master around? Do they let you have any freedom on where you can swim? My wife doesn't dive, so I'll be a single diver...I assume they'll be plenty of other single divers, so I am sure I can find a buddy.
Thanks for any advice!
Jeff
