Hi Doc

I just had half a dozen stiches put into my scalp and I was wondering if they were an issue with regards to diving. Do I have to wait for them to be taken out before I dive or is it cool to dive with them in if I'm careful?

Thanks

Gee coogeeman, I reckon you need to wait untill they are out. Doctors always state that a wound should be kept dry for at least a week. And maybe another day or two for the stitch holes to close (unless ya got those neat disovable ones).Mind you i ani't no doctor, but you Never know what horrible little microbe might crawl into the wound and fester away.

Hope the stiches aren't too painfull.

If they put them in your scalp did they shave a nice little pattern first.?

opps, sorry doc, thought this was posted on basic discussions.....
