Hi, Hello to everyone. I am from the UK, visiting Japan over the next 2 weeks. If possible I would like to buddy up / join a dive tour over the 17th / 18th December. I have my own kit (tanks / weights excepted). Don't mind where I go would just like to get wet! Thanks in advance for anyones offers of help. Chris Marsh (BSAC OWI)

If you are down in Okinawa we go out daily for dives around the islands.

Japan is a big place with 1,000's of islands - do you have a travel plan yet or know where you will be at during that timeframe?

Hello All, thanks for your posts. I will be based in Tokyo, so anywhere within sensible travel time by Shinkansen or by Air. Happy to do silly times. Thanks again.

Okinawa would be the best diving that time of year but would require a 2.5 hour flight from Tokyo. Usually Skymark air is the cheapest flights. We can assist with accommodations near the dive shop for your stay here also.

Thanks Japan-diver. Presumably the Skymark website offers flights each way (so the web offer may be 15500JPY each way?
Can you give me cost of 1 night accommodation, plus 2 dives / day? Also travell to/from airport etc

Cheers

Diving in Izu 1h away from Tokyo is extraordinary right now. Still 18C in the water and 15-20m visibility, and LOTS of fishes. You also have the great food and hot spas that other parts of Japan can't offer here. I will be teaching in Korea that weekend but the recreational Tokyo clubs on this board may be able to help out. Depending on site, boat/beach, and club cost would be 5,000 - 15,000 per day of diving.
