Divetech Grand Cayman is looking for a Reservations Manager. Divetech is a leading dive operator in the Cayman Islands offering recreational, technical, rebreather and freediving. As Reservations Manager you will have a pivotal role and will carry a large responsibility towards the success of the company.

You will be the first point of contact for our customers including direct sales, as well as resellers such as dive shops and dive travel companies. You will be providing general information, availability and quotes, and should be driven to convert all customer contact into a sale. You will be also be responsible to plan all bookings into the daily operational schedule, and that boat and staff resources are used in most efficient and cost-effective manner. You should be meticulous and detail orientated to ensure that every booking is correctly processed with the customer, the operational schedule as well as invoiced and paid.

The role will also be responsible for managing our partners, such as accommodation, car rental and transfer services. This is includes both finding synergies to increase business, as well as daily operational management.

This will be a non-diving role but it is a requirement for all applicants to hold a rating of Open Water Scuba Instructor in teaching status. You can occasionally be asked to teach or lead dives in busy times, and are also welcome to join the night dive rotation.

Key attributes of the successful candidate will include:
  • Commercially driven - willing to put the extra effort in to make the sale.

  • Able to handle a large volume of e-mail and and phone enquiries in busy weeks.

  • Customer friendly - even under stress and with demanding customers.

  • Good phone and e-mail etiquette.

  • Professional proficiency in English.

  • Enjoy the challenge of working in a dynamic environment balancing commercial and operational demands.

  • Creative in scheduling bookings into the operational schedule to maximize resource usage.

  • Meticulous in processing bookings with regards to customer communication, invoices, scheduling, etc.

  • IT skills - You should be proficient or able to learn quickly in using MS Excel, EVE, Quickbooks, WIX. Social Media (Facebook, Instagram. Hootsuite), SEO, and photo editing (eg Lightroom) skills are a plus.

  • Proficiency with creating business cases, pricing strategy and budgets would be a plus.

  • Knowledge of technical/rebreather diving terminology would be a plus.

  • Comfortably in working independently and remotely from your colleagues.

  • Be a dive instructor in active teaching status.

  • Able to obtain a clean police record.

  • In possession of a driver’s license.

  • Minimum 26 year old.
Pay/Benefits - Divetech offers the following compensation for it’s employees:

Divetech operates out of 4 locations. You will mainly be working independently at Divetech’s office location or resort retail shop. Work days are generally 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
