It is no secret that divers see the world differently. As I have seen on this board before, "many people dive, but not all are divers." I ask you, how do you see the world differently as a diver?

I know I certainly have a great appreciation for redudancy (hence, the pony post), and have this subconscious urge to double up on everything. I find myself 'briefing' friends before most things (you know, in that 'dive boat' mentality), and having a keener sense of the environment than most non-divers.

Hahaha, some things make me laugh to myself. Just today, I was in a store, and I caught sight of the fire extinguisher----and, while staring at it, pictured myself breathing off of it (or slinging it, for that matter).

Another story --- I was talking to a friend today. She said: "I went shopping with my good friend today. We were in the store and lost eachother, and I eventually left after like 30 min of not finding her, i didnt know what to do" In the back of my head, I SWEAR to you, I was thinking---'What? you didn't have a lost buddy plan'? hehehe, thats how my mind works. are you the same?

P.S. Scubaboard does NOT help. hehehe, i love this place

No. I don't think about doubling up on things or redundancy. I have never looked at an extinguisher as anything other than what it is.

I do enjoy day dreaming about my next dive, and remembering the events of past dives. But, I have no problem distinguishing between people, places and things above the water line, and those things below the water line.
