I dive a DiveRite TransPlate with a SS back plate.

As a whole I've find this to be much, much more comfortable than the jacket or rear inflate BCD's I've tried (counter intuitive since you have a plate of steel on your back), however I haven't been able to find a description on where the back plate needs to hit you in reference to one anatomy.

So I've fiddeled around on where to wear this on my back. When I first began using it, I'd look up and hit my head on the 1st stage...lowered the whole system then it hit my butt...so on so forth.

I come from the outdoor retail world where I've been fitting and selling backpacks for some time and there is a very specific science to fitting a pack.

Does such a science exist for fitting a SS backplate or I am just trying too hard?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Chris
