I noticed Dive Rite is having a sale on their Slimline 10w HID lights...and the price now matches about how much money I've managed to accumulate this summer so far (heh not much huh?). Let's say I were to order one of these lights tomorrow. Assuming I took good care of it, how long could I expect the light to last. Not the bulb, the light itself. Will it still be operational 2 or 3 years from now when I start some tech diving?

Also, if I were to get such a light, would it be better to get the fixed 6-degree head, or the larger adjustable one? This would be used for open water and wreck penetration diving.

Would it be a logical purchase at all, or would I be wasting my money for now? Right now I have a Pelican Nemo 8C, and after having it as the only 'big' light in a wreck, I was greatly disappointed in that I could only see about 6" of the wreck at a time.

thanks
