Diver pick up in the North

Some people avoid the northern hotel zone because of the need to taxi all the way into town, or further to Caleta Marina. That means they miss some great hotels such as Playa Azul or Coral Princess which are quiet and peaceful with little or no traffic. The good news is that Aldora Divers does pick up at the Villa Aldora which is in the near north of the north hotel zone and is an easy walk from many hotels and condos or a fast cheap ride in a taxi. Given that Aldora cares for your gear, that makes it even easier to enjoy the tranquility you will find in the North Hotel Zone.

I believe that Villa Aldora is a stones throw south of Puerta Abriga.

We stayed at Coral Princess (I have a non-diving family so they wouldn't agree to The Villa). It was VERY convenient and an easy walk from the hotel to the Villa for pick up in the morning. One day the weather made it difficult to dock and they drove us downtown...no worries We love staying up north! The snorkeling is good (very nice right outside The Villa), there are many nice accommodations up that way, and if you dive with Aldora it's easy peasy! You CAN walk into town, but I'm pretty lazy (even when I'm not on vacation..) so we taxied into town every night. It's getting a little pricier as the years go on, but still pretty reasonable. I think it was $4 each way?
