Diver Locating

I was wondering if there is a device out there that divers can use if thy are separated from the group that uses satellite technology to pin point there position. I heard of divers driving for days and rescuers not being able to find them.

Dam it I thought I was onto something there, any idea of where one could acquire one and would it withstand say a dive to 40m ?
