Hello everyone. I have found the board to be a wealth of knowledge and figured it was time to join. My Girlfriend and I got certified in Grand Cayman in March of 2016 and have logged 25 dives since. All in the Carribean. We are open water, advanced and nitrox certified. We are getting the equipment specialist certs in June and I am planning to do rescue diver in July or August. Not sure yet if I am planning to go Master Diver or if I actually want to move towards dive master/instructor. I am retiring in a few years and plan on a beach community for retirement and still plan to do a lot of diving so might want that instructor cert. Anyway just a thread to say hello.

Congrats on the recent certification! There are a plethora of different paths you can take now that you are certified. With a retirement near the water, Divemaster is not a bad idea. You usually get to dive for free, make tips, and be involved in the industry without being too involved that it takes over all your free time.

Keep on diving and welcome to the community!
