Dead diver found washed up on park beach in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD A park ranger found the body of a diver washed up on the beach at John U. Lloyd State Park on Thursday morning, police said.
The unidentified man was dressed in a light gray or white wetsuit and had on a mask, fins and air tanks when he was found on the beach of the park at 6503 N. Ocean Drive around 8:25 a.m., said Detective Carlos Negron, police spokesman.
It was not immediately known how or why the diver died.
The body was turned over the Broward County Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy to determine the time and cause of death.
In the meantime, detectives are attempting to identify the victim.
