Hey fellow ScubaBoardians!

Hopefully we'll soon have an announcement about a major tie in with ScubaBoard, but in the interim, we have another exciting announcement.

Ever since we started the DPG underwater photography group on Facebook, we have received requests to launch a Facebook photo contest by many of the group members. So finally we decided to do so. With so many underwater photographers on Facebook it was only appropriate, and we look forward to seeing the entries.

The only requisite is that you must be a member of our Facebook group to enter the contest.

The winners will receive a signed coffee table book from WYLAND, and will receive a plaque to proudly display on your wall as a winner of our inaugural Facebook contest. Winning images will also be featured on DivePhotoGuide.com as well as other photography and diving related websites.

For this first contest, there are only two categories:

1) Open: This is any underwater image, macro or wide angle.

2) Novice: If you are fairly new to underwater photography and consider yourself a novice, this is the category for you.
This is the first of an ongoing series of contests we will run on Facebook, possibly even monthly at some point if we get enough participation.

You can join our group on Facebook here. All the details for the contest are listed in our Facebook group page.

We also have a cool application within Facebook to add underwater photo, video, diving and marine science news and updates to your Facebook profile. You can find the application here.

We hope to see you on Facebook participating with us!

GOOD LUCK IN THE CONTEST :)

Rather then me searching for it, could you please post the terms and conditions (even a link directly to them would be great) on this contest as they pertain to ownership of submitted photography and the rights of use?

Thank you in advance.

We take this very seriously - and in fact I'm one of the fee people who police then entire industry about it :)

Here ya go:

No usage rights are assigned other than winning images being displayed in conjunction with the announcement of the contest winners and to promote the next contest.
