If anyone has ever tried these, I would love to hear if the little stick on lenses work before I go to the expense of having new lenses put into my mask. Thanks!

I've had mine in my Cressi Big Eyes mask for a little over a year now and they work fine. It took a few tries to get them positioned where they needed to be. I put on my mask and had my wife mark the position of the center of my pupils with a sharpie pen on the outside of the mask. That gave me a good reference point. Initially I was worried they would come out or slip out of place. Neither has happened. I am sure that over the years to come, I will have to get perscription lenses installed in my mask, but for now, the diveoptix do the trick.

I've also used them and they stayed stuck for over a year. They defintely take a few tries until they stick.

A friend who dives said he picked up a pair of inserts from WalMart that he uses in his mask. They were WAY cheaper than the Diveoptx, just a few bucks, and he said they work great. They applied the exact same way as the Diveoptx, with water. He coudn't provide any more information about them other than he found them in the same section as the the off-the-shelf reading glasses at WalMart.

My wife uses DiveOptx lenses in both her scuba and snorkeling masks - she swears by them. She's had one set for several years, and when she got a new mask we decided to try a cheaper set in it - she swore at those.

The cheaper ones looked fine at first, but they wouldn't stay in place and fogged easily. We ended up buying a second set of DiveOptx for her new mask to replace the remaining cheap lens (one washed out during its second dive).

IIRC, Scuba Toys had the best price on them.

Do you do anything other than your normal lense defogging? I use the regular lenses from the same company for my glasses for roadbiking to see my bike computer. I tried them once diving and they fogged up right away and messed up a very nice dive. The regular lenses are about half the price of the dive lenses. Anyway, thanks for the help.

I have used them for over a year and love them. No problem with fogging, I defog with baby shampoo.

I tried them but did not experience the luck others have. Nothing I did made them stick so they ended up all over the place and I had a lot of problems with fogging. Tried baby shampoo, spit, commercial drops, special drops my buddy had for his prescription mask, nothing worked. I just sent my mask away to have my prescription put into it. Hope this works better. This has just been my experience but the majority say they work. They are not that expensive, give them a shot they might work for you.

I love mine. I only need them to see the little numbers on my compass for navigation so I use just one lens on the left. I have them in my regular mask and my backup mask. One went on perfectly the first time. The other one took a few trys to get it to stick just right. Once in ,I haven't had one come out, shift, or fog. I put hot water in the mask, dump it out, insert the lens (concave up) and press into place rubbing out the airspace. The concave collapses down forming a very tight air seal. I then leave it in a hot place for a few days until all the moisture is out.
