I'm currently in the process of planning out my gap year and I hope to start in September by completing the PADI Divemaster course. My hope is then too find work through the year and gain further experience, working as a diver at different resorts, while seeing the world. I'm 18 and a qualified PADI Rescue Diver and First Responder with 120 logged dives. I'm looking at resorts in the Red Sea, Thailand and Caribbean but it's very difficult to decide which are best. Does anyone out there please have strong recommendations - good places or otherwise - for Divemaster training resorts? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Check out Lanta Diver and Phi Phi Barakuda on the west coast of Thailand. Both are very busy dive centres where you will gain lots of experience with dive customers...

Come check us out in Costa Rica too. My advice, send out some emails to a few places. I find I can get a good vibe from just the replies, might help you narrow it down. good luck and have fun!
