Does anyone know where I can find how much it costs to process a PADI DM application? It says "See current PADI price list for processing fee." But I cannot seem to find this.

Thanks.

Your profile says you're a DM, so they should send you the price list in the mail each year. The info you asked for is on page 6. As ppo2 said, DM application fee this year is $72. If you were also interested in annual dues, that depends on how you choose to pay (standard, online or automatic) and they range from $84.50 to $102.50 (also from page 6).

Whatever it is, it's a rip-off.

HUH?

And yes, it's $72. I sent mine in a couple of weeks ago. If you want a Project AWARE card, it's a minimum $5 donation paid with your app fee.

Well, technically I'm not- yet. When I edited my profile I had completed the course but had not yet mailed in my application.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

Colliam7: Thank you for the compliment. I take it that you agree that the yearly charges to keep up the DM rating is just a way for the agencies to compliment their bank accounts with no input from them other than to re-issue the rating as they see fit, knowing that the majority of DM's will pay the coersed charge so that they can keep a low-paying, seasonal, BS job.

Agreed. But, then, so are the renewal fees on my Surveying License, my driver's license, my dog's license...

You knew the score going in. If you don;t like it, don't pay. Do something else. No problem with that from my end.
