The department of Hyperbaric Medicine at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center wishes to extend an invitation to have you join us for our 21st International Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine CME Conference. The conference is jointly sponsored and approved for CME ( 24 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM) by the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society.
This year, the conference is being held at:
Sipadan Water Village, Mabul Island, Borneo, Malaysia!
The conference dates are: August 16 – August 24, 2013.
The course will be held at Sipadan Water Village, which is built entirely over the water and connected to the island of Mabul by a footbridge. Mabul is located off the northeast coast of Borneo, Malasia.
Course Information:
This six-day course in diving & hyperbaric medicine is open to everyone, but is an exciting and opportune way for physicians, nurses and health professionals to earn continuing medical education credits while enjoying one of the most beautiful, adventurous and exciting islands in Malaysia- and, of course, there is fantastic diving!
The objectives/goals of this CME course is to provide a comprehensive overview of diving medicine, cover many topics related to hyperbaric medicine in order to provide the participant with the tools necessary to understand:
- how the undersea environment affects divers
- discussing fitness to dive and return to diving issues
- the evaluation of diving related injuries,
- the management of these conditions, and much more.
