In another Thread we were talking about a possible Shark Dive for the winter months ahead.

Is anyone interested in the Shark Dive at Blue Planet (Britain's biggest aquarium) at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire? Maybe combined with something else local. And of course, some serious socialising (beer).

Costs are £55 per head for divers and discounted rates of £5 per adult and £2.50 for children apply to spectators.

Numbers are fixed at 12 (4 in the water at a time) - minimum of 8 needed. Dives are usually in the evening. Qual. level required is PADI AOW/BSAC Sports Diver.

The bad news is that Fri, Sat & Sun are all booked up until May 2003, so we would be looking at a mid-week trip.

So if you are interested, or would like some more details, please reply to this Thread.

I will try come along as a specy if i can get a lift, don't think I will be at AOW level by then soo, hopefully by the start of the next season I should be all certified!

Builderbloke mate, now that you mention it, I might have!
I decided not to bother you too much more about your one until I could actually afford to do some diving! it turns out that my local pool (Streatham) has a diving club that uses it, the guy who runs it actually lives in my apartment complex, andddd, they throw in a free Dry Suit specialist course during the basic OW courses because all they use is Drysuits and not Wets, during winter
also they let me split it into modules, 4 or 5 or something, 25 quid for the first, 40 for the second and third, etc etc, so not only can i spread the costs out, I can also dive in something warm!

Going to have a look and a try Dive on the 23rd with a few mates who also enjoy diving :)

Thanks for your help though builderbloke! i'll be sure to buy you a drink :)

I would like to come (I live quite near too). I'm not quite at Club Diver yet, I need another couple of qualifying dives, so it depends when you go

:)

I have received their info pack.

They are booked up well into next year, more so at weekends.

Would folks be prepared to go mid week?
