Hey Guys,

My dive club has chartered a trip to the U853 uboat over the Memorial day weekend May 30-31.

We have 2 open spots and are looking to fill them so I am posting the trip on here.

This time of year is the best for diving that area as the seas and vis are some of the best in the whole year. The plan is to dive the U853 on sunday in 125ft water and the Black point Monday (the holiday so everyone is off) in 90 ft water. This is the last uboat sunk in us waters and the last ship that the u853 sunk. It is a great wreck to do.

The cost is $135 per day (2 day trip) for the diving and you book your own hotel. We are leaving from New London in CT.

If you are interested contact me and i will give you all the info you want. This should be a great trip and I hope some of you come along.

You would need to pay for both days even if you only dove one. The boat leaves from New london CT. It is a 6 hour drive from Baltimore. The charter leaves early (6 am) so it gets back earlier in the day. Some of us are going up together and maybe you could meet some one up here and ride with them to share the drive back to Baltimore.

We are planning on going uo Saturday and returning Monday afternoon.

I forgot to mention that the sub has 2 blast holes in it so penetration is possible.
