I am going to Playa on Dec. 9-12 and I am wondering what the temperatures are diving that time of month. We plan on diving down to 120 feet I believe. This will be my first dive in Mexico so I don't know what depths at this time we will be diving. Will I need a wetsuit? If,so will a shorty or a 3mm full be fine?

Thanks for help.......

I recomend the full 3 mil that time of year to that depth. never been below about 95 feet there but the temps in the winter are about 78 degrees to about 83 in summer

Can't say about December, but during the first week of February this year my Suunto recorded 81 degrees on the surface and 79 degrees at depth.

I wore a 3-5-3 full wetsuit and did well.

Out of curiosity, which dive sites in Playa are down to the 120 foot level? I thought most of the deeper wall dives were over in Cozumel.
