Do you have any info to share about special dive sites around Korea? Post it here! Share experiences, upload pictures, and give tips. Maps of sites would be greatly appreciated!

I was wondering If there was any diving out near Udo? I think that’s one of the places famous for the korean women freedivers? Would be interesting to dive and see what they saw

Here is a map of Little Munsom dive site in Jeju. It is one of the most popular dive sites in Korea. I translated it myself. The original was found at this website: https://www.5penwater.com/58

Taejongdae in Busan is a popular dive site for training. I did my rescue dives there. The beach is very rocky, and can be difficult to traverse when weighed down with 10kg of weights and a full tank. There are lines running out to a buoy that make for a good shore entry guide on days when visibility is low. A very short walk from the beach is a dive shop with showers and other facilities. It rents air tanks to other shops operating in the area.

This link has some pics of aquatic life that can be spotted there:

Here is a Google Maps pin of the dive location. The dive shop is on the crescent road that runs parallel to the beach.

I dived Daejin Scuba Resort (Translated blog post) near Yeongdeok. There's a scuba park with three sunken fishing trawlers that you can wreck dive (penetration of a very small cabin) down to 28m. There is also an area with coral beds around 18m. I believe there is also a giant crab statue, but I didn’t see that as I was doing my Wreck Diver course. There are facilities on sight where the owner provides tank rentals, weights, gear washing facilities, washrooms, showers and short boat transportation to/from the marker buoys. Contact: 010-3539-7800 Korean only. I believe he said he needed 5 people minimum to take the boat out, so confirm ahead that your group plus other groups will be enough.

I’m left with the distinct impression this is a map of one of the set pieces from the Lord of the Rings film trilogy with underwater flora & fauna added. ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

I found this article about K-26, billed as "Asia's Deepest Diving Pool". Here is a link to the English language page of the pool's site:
K-26 Asia's Deepest Diving Pool

And here is the article:
K-26 in South Korea - Explore Asia's Deepest Diving Pool - Dive o'clock!

I have never been there, but would love to check it out someday!

I read you can qualify for the open water c card with an instructor in this pool.
On weekends, the pool costs the same, if not more expensive, than an open water dive in the sea (~55000₩).
I'd love to go to the pool for the experience.
