I don't know the sites you mentioned but I know another dive site north of Hamilton.
It's called Gullivers lake and you'll get there by going Hwy 6 north and turn left into Safari Rd. The lake will be couple of kilometers on the left side of you.
It is a shallow lake and good for training.
