hahahahahahahahahahaha

I'm still trying to find a good dive shop in the Ottawa area(EDIT: I've only been through 3 so far....)...... Even the one I thought respected me as a customer tried to take me large this year. And to think I thought that being a repeat customer who was willing to spend my money was enough......

Tom's shop is too far from here for anything execpt big ticket purchases though :(

And honestly - after the last attempted reaming I had from the last one I was at in Kanata I don't even have a place to get my tanks filled without feeling slimey.

We have done Kingston 5 times in the last 2 years, and have dealt with both Limestone & NTD. They both accomodate out of town divers as best they can. Tom saved one of our crew with a drysuit rental that was screwed up by our local shop.Limestone actually recommended NTD as a place to try and rent a drysuit as they don't. Co-operation amongst stores in the same town is to be commended. Doesn't happen in our town. Thanks again Tom and crew.

While I hesitate to say anything bad about shops I know, I can say that NTD is definitely top notch (and no, don't worry Tom, you aren't as ugly as they've made you out to be!!

Afraid Tom is ugly, but he's a good retailer and his shop is great. I have also had good dealings with Limestone.

Another good retailer in the same general area (1000 Islands) is Dan Humble at Dive Tech in Mallorytown.

Good luck

They're out there... good, bad and ugly shops...
I use 3 shops in and around the GTA... Scuba2000, Aquarius and DiveSource (out in the "shwa") and between all of them they seem to cover most brands of equipment...
Still gotta make my way out to NTD though... keep hearing too many things about it - all good things of course!

I have had incredible service from a little shop up by Toronto. The owner is incredible and so are the employees. Not going to mention the store but it's owner is Brian. My LDS has banned me and although I do go in every now and then the interaction with the owner is strained. This one I will not make mention of.
