Hi all,
Time to purge the gear closet. I have an original style Venture wing that has never been in the water. I bought it online to mount on my 1st generation Transpac that I bought back in the mid '90s, and it does not mount cleanly. Dive Rite tells me that it will be good on Transpac II and later (any Transpac made after 1997), and of course backplates. Rather than modify the wing, I'm going to try to find a suitable replacement. No manual, tags, or box, it has been stored in my gear closet for about 2 years (no sunlight gets to the closet, nobody smokes in my house). I inflated it just prior to taking the pictures...no leaks from a soap spray test at the valves. There is a small blemish in the screen printing on the last '"e" in Venture on the back right hand side, and what appears to be a 0.5 cm spot of seam sealant or something like it just below the rubber Dive rite badge on the back that does not affect the integrity of the shell fabric. These are the only defects or damage to the wing that I can find on detailed inspection. I purchased it new on eBay, so it should be close to the best preserved Venture wing out there. $150 will get it shipped to your doorstep in the CONUS. I'm fond of Paypal. Let me know if I can answer any questions or provide any detail pictures.
Cheers,
Chris
