Has anyone tried one of these? One of my local dive stores is closing shop and trying to get rid of inventory. I can get a crazy deal on one (retails for $599 and will sell it for $375 to clear inventory). Should I pull the trigger? I'm scared there won't be parts or alot of backing from Dive Rite seeming I haven't heard much at all about this reg.

That is an amazing regulator. You cannot go wrong with it. You do not have to worry about Dive Rite parts support......it will be there. Thanks.

Dive-Rite has a very good reputation and superb customer support in my experience. I bought one of their regs used from someone and the purge cover was slightly bent. Probably nothing that would have affected performance, but I asked them about it and they shipped a new cover to me for free.

Diveriteexpress.com and probably other Dive-Rite retailers sell service kits for these regs so you can stock up if you are worried. They (DRE) don't have a free service manual available for this reg (yet?), but they do for the older models.

Get in your car and drive there and buy it NOW! Do not think about it, just do it! At that price, this reg is worth the speeding ticket to get to your LDS before they're out of stock!

Seriously, It is my main reg and I absolutely love it. It breathes like a dream. I have been huffing and puffing against river current, dove tropics and Monterey with it and it didn't miss a beat!
When my wife and I were in Hawaii, I let her try it on a dive. She came up and said, "OMG! I want one of these!" I will make this guarantee with you. If you don't like it , I will buy it off of you at that same price so you are not out any money! How's that? Now, you don't have any excuses!
And, as been said, you don't need to worry about service parts from DR regarding these regs.

He had two left yesterday when I was there. I stopped by on my way home from work tonight and the whole store was cleaned out. I was too late and some lucky people got some great deals.

I got mine for $400 on ebay. BSNIB. So the deals are out there and sometimes things go your way.
