I would like to hear any saved rounds on the 905. I'm thinking of getting one and would like to hear what everyone thinks? Good choice? Junk? Is there a better choice for the $700??

Dsgobie,
I am a very happy owner of a Dive Rite 905 drysuit. I have about 20 dives on the suit and I think, given all its standard features, that it was a bargain. I was in the market for a shell suit and once I outfitted the competiton with similar seals , zipper guards, and pockets they were no longer competitive. I also paid a heck of a lot more than $700.00! If one of these became available at that price I would try buy one for my wife - it is that good a suit. It has my highest recommendation.

I think it's going to be a little bit more than $700, I have a friend at the LDS and I've done a bit of DM work for him for the heck of it. So he's going to get me one at cost if I like it... I think I'll go for it. I'll let you know when I get it what I think. Also, do you have their "pee" valve installed? I was thinking about getting one with the suit.

I have one that I have about 60 dives on. I picked mine up just after they came out and DR was offering any LDS that would sell them a deal, cost to the customer was $695. I am happy with the suit except for one thing, it is cut a bit baggy, and no, I don't have the husky version of the suit. Since the suit is a bit baggy I have been using gaitors to keep my feet from getting floaty. The only problem with gaitors is that air does get into the boots and when ascending it can't get out of them easily, especially when horizontal. So, my suit is currently at Superior Drysuit Repair having the boots removed and neoprene socks installed. I already have the Rockboots that I am going to wear. Other than that there are no complaints. I think that it is a better built suit than a lot of others that I have seen and given its standard features it is well worth the cost.

I don't have the DR version of the p-valve on my suit. I put on the Halcyon one. On a back zip suit I would call having a p-valve indispensible.
