Cheers from AZ!

A group of us are heading to Miami next Wed, the 11th, for a wedding and six of us would like to dive next Thurs and Friday. We are staying near the Cruise Ship docks across from Miami Beach.

Two of us have Advanced Cert and the other four are newbies (first open water dive).

1) Can you suggest any good Dive Centers in/around the area we are staying? We will have a car, so we can drive to Key Largo if the diving there is that much better.

2) Are there any good beach dives in/around Miami Beach?

3) What is the water temp now? What mil wetsuit would you recommend? Full Suit or Shorty? Hood? Dry Suit?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated as this is my first dive trip to FL.

Thanks!!

Eric

There's a great dive op on South Beach called RJ Diving Ventures.

This weather buoy will tell you what the winds and water temp are. Right now it's 76-77 and getting warmer by the day, you'll probably be fine in a 3mm full suit depending on your tolerence.

If you're looking for reef diving, head to the Keys. There's good wreck diving in Miami, the Keys, or up in Fort Lauderdale as well.

Thanks for all the info! I am going to call RJ's today to book the dives.

76 degree water sounds a lot better than the 58 degree water I usually dive in southern California!

Can't wait!

Thanks again!

Eric
