So, awhile ago, I'm watching this show on the History Channel called MONSTER QUEST. I can't remember which one I was watching exactly, but the host is talking about diving into a lake (obviously looking for a 'monster') and points to a second diver and says "and this so-so, a dive medic." Then they dive.
What is a "dive medic??"
When you google it, you only get schools that could be scams for all you know. But it doesn't say exactly what a dive medic does, or what they make a year.
My husband is a paramedic and a scuba diver-if he could combine the two to do something he actually loves-that would be awesome. But no one seems to know exactly what this profession is, which school isn't a scam, or anything about it. Just theories or ideas. It doesn't seem to simply be rescue diver, or something. There seems more to it then just being both (medic and diver) in two different worlds.
Anyone know??
Is there any objective (non-schools) information about this elusive career people whisper about? Thanks!
