My daughter is thinking about doing her dive master internship here and with this company. Any advice, suggestions, cautions? Thank you so much in advance.

I've dived with Wicked twice, once in Komodo, my wife three times with them.

I've always thought of them as a safety conscious operator, who are very much geared to giving back to the local community (training locals as dive guides, supporting villages and orphanages etc) they also operate in a sustainable manner.

The Internship is pretty standard, but who wouldn't want to spend 6 weeks in Labuan Bajo. She'll experience some fantastic diving (Indonesia is our favourite) and come away with some fantastic memories. She will also make some great friend and good contacts in if she wants to take the next steps in her dive career.

It'll be hard work, long hours and she'll love every minute of it.

Thank you so much for your input. This info is invaluable. :) We recently went to the local dive shop in Vancouver and met a dive master from Labuan Bajo who also said Wicked diving was a great company but also recommend we look closely at Scuba Junkie. Have you dove with them by chance?

the town is kind of a dump imo. i stayed and dove with SJ and they are a decent outfit. i don't know i would repeat the experience though. i don't think i could take eating PBJs for breakfast and lunch for 3 weeks again.
