Last year my wife and I decided that it would be fun to do some diving in Thailand. Looking on the internet there are so many places you can dive and Thailand has a lot to offer.

We looked around and found a shop on Phi Phi. The program was advertised as do all your courses (after open water) for free then when qualified work for the shop as a dive master and gain experience and pay off the training. Sounded good, no donkey work, diving and training and all on the beatiful Phi Phi island. Now if you are not aware of Phi Phi it was where the film The Beach was filmed, Maya bay is the beach.

We arrived in February and were greeted by the shop manager and introduced to all the staff and shown around. The shop assisted with us getting accommodation and showing us around, the staff are very friendly. We had never dived before and the open water course was going to decide if we carried on, it was fantastic. After open water it was onto the next courses and so on until we reached our Dive Master Training.

Living and working on Phi Phi was amazing, the weather is beatiful the diving is amazing and the people are great. At the shop the instructors were so helpful both with our studying and when we were diving.

After completing our DMT we started to work for the shop, guiding, assisting and diving nearly everyday. The dive sites around Phi Phi offer a lot to any diver from the Bida Islands and the artifical reef to the Wreck and dive sites further afield.

After 5 months on the island and around 170 dives we left with more great memories than I can mention and some wonder training. If you want to do a Dive Master Internship in Thailand then this is the place for you. its easy to find, turn right at the end of the pier and keep walking until you see the big yellow shop.
