No! I would not trust my life to this concept. It is "fatally flawed" as it requires leg Pumping action to get air to the diver, and it is the wrong type of kick. It also probably cannot supply enough air beyond about ten feet due to water pressure. SeaRat
 
I've already responded to another thread about the Diveman in the SB Snorkelling Forum and I thought I'd reproduce what I wrote here as well:

I've just done a little online research on the device. According to CUSTOMS (PROHIBITED IMPORTS) REGULATIONS 1956 - SCHEDULE 12 Goods the importation of which is prohibited without permission under regulation 4U
its import is banned in Australia. In 2010 there was a discussion of the Diveman here on Scubaboard:

where some scepticism was voiced about the underlying science. Speaking of science, a short article about the Diveman appeared in the June 1991 edition of Popular Science:
