Anyone been down to Lake Whitney for a dive. It is a beautiful lake in central Texas.

Dutch,
We did a Rescue Class and an Adv Open Water class at Whitney the weekend of June 25th. Vis was 1-3', a slight thermocline at about 17' and a major thermocline at 35'. I had on a 3ml and it was too cold for me to go into. A couple guys had 5ml's and tried it but didn't last long. It got totally dark at 35'.

I use to dive Whitney alot when I lived in Waco. Vis in that lake use to be 10-15' and better, but the last couple times I've dove the lake vis has been poor. The guys that dropped below the thermocline did report better vis.
