I have a 1/2 platform on my boat. The usual drill on my small boat is to remove gear on the surface, tie off to the trail line, climb aboard, then pull the doubles onto the platform then over my transom. I would love to find a dive ladder/system that I could mount onto my current swim platform. I am familar with the systems that bolt directly to the transom but I would like to avoid drilling more holes into the transom if possible.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have a 1x1.5 ft. mini platform off my stern which has a folding ladder bolted into it from the top. The problem with it is there is nothing to hang onto above to pull yourself up except the "U" ring on the stern which is big enough for about two fingers. Plus the first rung in only about 1.5 feet under water so you have to bend your knee just about all the way to get a foot into it and it takes a stong leg to push all your weight up with one leg. If I get your description right you have kind of the same platform but bigger? In my case I think a longer ladder that hooks over the side of the boat would be easier to climb. Like with the first rung about 2-3 feet under the water line. Or find a longer folding ladder.

Hey I just made a new one=xmas tree style out of $40.00 of steel at a local farm store, and beefed up my swim platform,it has a fold down push pole that keeps it from going under the boat, works sweet,It only bolts to the swim platform, and with one pin it comes off for fishing,or water ski,hit me with a e-mail,I cant shrink the photo to post it,
Good lluck
