Dive IN TAUPO

Hello, everyone.
Im a traveller from China. I will learn my AOW this weekend. I want to do some divings around Taupo area. It is said Taupo is a good place to learn drift diver which I am very interested in. After searching by google, No dive shops are found. Would you like to recommand some shops to learn or fun diving?

Who needs a dive shop!

Jump in the Waikato river at Cherry Island and get out before Huka Falls!
Its a great drift dive!

There was a guy running the trip in 2007, not sure now. The tourist office may know.

While you don't need a dive shop, I'm guessing the OP is traveling alone, and will need dive gear and a buddy as minimum!

No doubt waaay too late but Both Dive HQ westhaven and Performance divers run dive trips down that river.
And to a lot of other places too
