Dive in Berlin or Magdeburg??

Hi everybody,
From next march to july, I think that I will have to travel to Magdeburg,

I would like to know if there are sites to dive and the level necesary for them, because I am a OWD recently.

Both Berlin (40 miles west of Poland) and Magdeburg are in the former East Germany so salt water diving is out. Potential for fresh water dive in the Wansee (large lake) in Berlin. Madgaburg is a beautiful city, at least what I could see from the rail lines on the US Duty train from Berlin to West Germany back in 1982-1983. Don't know what diving you would have there. Don't forget to check your altitude as if you are above 1,000 feet you are altitude diving and different dive tables apply as well as you need training. Good luck.
