Nada. Looking at the pictures of the second unit, it has been hammered. It has more scratches and scrapes than my 15 year old Uwatec. This tells me it has not been looked after.

I have bought pristine used stuff and unfortunately have also bought someone else's junk from ebay / scubaboard.

I now pay very close attention to the pictures and often ask for additional photos if I have any questions.

#1 looks interesting, especially that it's a nitrox computer, the other one (Aeris) is not. The Darvin can also been used as a bottom timer once you arrive to tek country:)

I have narrowed it down to the Mares Puck or the Aeris XR1. Both are 179.99. I was told either of these will do what I need for Rec diving, and will make a good back up computer when I get into Tek. What do you think. both are air and nitrox and have gauge mode.

Personally, I would skip these and get something new with a warranty and an updated algorithm.

That's a better decision ;)

Dacor has been out of business for many years...and the other one is all beat up.

any of the $200ish puck style nitrox computers will be plenty for a while. When you get into tech, you'll spend 4x that on a nice computer.

How did you like it? The Mares Puck is a decent computer....
