Hello! I was wondering about some different dive charities to donate to. My work, donates all of its earnings to different charities in the area. Any ideas? Whether they are charities for helping the environment or charities to take underpriveleged kids into scubadiving and so forth.... I would like a variety of charities to look into. Thanks for your help!!!

I know of a couple, but they're fairly local.
"Dive from the Heart" is a dive event that benefits children's hospitals in the Fort Worth/Dallas metroplex (Texas, of course). Great event and lots of fun. It usually nets about $7000 per year.
They Tyler State Park "Trashfest" is a two day event near Tyler Texas and benefits the Scottish Rite Children's hospital, also in the Metroplex.
I mention these just to highlight the point that there are probably similar causes and events in your locality. Contact area dive shops and professionals. They can probably put you in touch with some in your vicinity.
Thank you for wanting to give to others. God bless ya'!

How about Diveheart- It's a charity that focuses on bringing diving to the disabled. We work with a wide range of disabilties, for example, spinal cord injuries/paralysis, traumatic brain injuries, cognitive disabilities, blind divers, and veteran divers to name a few. Diveheart is based in Chicago, but we are really growing this year. We are trying to branch out and bring diving to a wider audience- there were some training sessions for buddies in CA, OR, and GA recently.

Lastly, even if decide to donate elsewhere, I encourage all divers to get involved with handicapped diving. It's a rewarding experience and it will improve your dive skills. You will get so much more out of it that you put into it. :) Check out the links in my sig.

Diveheart sounds like a great charity....

So does "Dive from the heart"

There's a local event called "Dive for the Cure" taking place this year ... at Owens Beach in Tacoma. Cindy at http://girldiver.com/ is organizing it as part of the fight against breast cancer. Not sure if this is what you had in mind ... but if it is, I'm sure she'd love to hear from you ... I do know they're looking for corporate sponsorship ...

Keep the suggestions coming and I will put a presentation together for my company!
