Dive Campus, who have a training centre in AL Quoz, Dubai, now have a dive centre in Khorfakkan on the east coast of the UAE.

They have had a soft opening over the past week and I was invited to go dive with them.

They have been running their training centre in Dubai for just over two years now and utilising other dive centres on the east coast, mainly working with Barracuda Dive Centre in Fujairah.

Their new dive centre is basically on the beachfront and is looking very nice I have to say. They also have a pretty good boat with a fair bit of space, there were ten of us on the boat when I dived with them and plenty of room to manoeuvre around.

Their location puts them less than a eight minute boat ride to Martini Rock and Inchcape 2 with Anemone Gardens, Coral Garden and Hole in the Wall much closer.

The only downside is that with a single boat dive sites may be limited if there are only OW qualified divers on board as there was last week, but we did split up on the first dive with some diving Martini Rock while myself and a few others dived Inchcape 2.

The boat has a captain and one crew member to help with gear etc., very useful when getting back on the boat, most other dive ops only have a captain in the boat, who has to abandon the helm in order to help divers back on board, something that can be tricky if it's rough.

Also, no plastic bottles of water :D One large water dispenser on the boat, bring your own water bottle bottle.

No pics from my side as I only took some video to post on Instagram, I'll take some the next time I go over there and use them.

Parking is easy, although public but not paid, and there are some food caravans nearby that have a discount agreement for Dive Campus.

Daily diving except Mondays.

Is Scuba2000 still around (or the successor to Scuba2000)?
No idea Burhan

I dived with the successor after Hassan sold the place a few times, but although they made some improvements to the dive shop etc., they were not the sort of people that I liked to dive with.

Their boat was always blasting out loud music to the extent you couldn't hear your self speak.

There's another place called Goblin Divers just about 1Km south next to the Coast Guard Station, I've not dived with them either.

I hate that too. I don't like to go to restaurants or cafes that do that, let alone dive boats.

The nice thing about Scuba2000 was the fact that they had decent and inexpensive rooms on-site. It made it convenient and inexpensive to go there and stay for a few days.

Hey Gordon, what are their washing up, gear maintenance and other facilities like?

There are three public showers next to the beach between the sandy part and the non sandy part

Public toilets are next to that area, much larger than the ones at Kite Beach in Dubai

For gear rinsing there are a couple of large dunk tanks adjacent to the dive centre

If you are leaving your gear overnight they have cages in which to secure your gear.
