Hello, everyone. I'm looking for some dive buddies to improve my skills before heading down to mexico next year to attempt cave diving. I have Cavern/AOW/drysuit. I have approximately 40 dives and dive side mount exclusively. I've been joining the fun dives with other shops, but often, they don't fit my schedule. I've also joined the MUDS. I have a car and can drive us to locations if needed. Have all my own equipment.
Happy to do fun dives or dives focusing on improving specific skills, honestly just looking to dive more with a second person/more people.
Let me know if anyone is interested or if there are other pages/website etc that I should be exploring

I'm living just south of the border. I know there is an active GUE community in Vancouver which I think does everyone welcome dives (I usually sidemount) and in my experience GUE are among the best folks to team dive with.
Otherwise there are several decent sites where I am although it's a solid 1 hour drive past the border.

You'll struggle to connect with GUE Seattle in sidemount. Not impossible recreationally but also kinda "meh" 1) they will all be in backmount and 2) have little or no constructive feedback for you in SM.

There's a large community of OC sidemount divers trained through Nat at Under the Jungle in the metro Vancouver area which would be a better fit for you mentorship wise.

Not to discount your experience but I've gotten a LOT of good feedback diving sidemount in a GUE community.
Less on gear configuration (obviously) which I think is something any SM diver should learn to do themselves. But in terms of positioning and propulsion they are excellent.
Also most are very capable of getting some GoPro footage to self analyze.

How would I find these people who trained with Nat ?

There really isn't a group anymore. There are 4 of us still active. Remaining 3/4 of us have gone CCR. The 4th has camera ocd. Rest have moved away or started doing something else and quit.

I would do some Seadragon charters to meet people. Divers for Cleaner Lakes and Oceans. Monthly shop clean up dives or trips to find the active divers. ARSBC and MLSS.

Thanks very much for the advice.
